Hallowmalloween!

HALLOWEEN! we decided to celebrate it a day early, up in Atherton. Who wouldn't?

So, I dress up as Jesus, complete with toga, beard and cross necklace, BUT I didn't get any photos of it before I took it off, which I'm really disappointed about.. but sure enough I'll dress up as him again soon, so I'll be sure to take a photo then.

I finished work at 5.30 and Laura picked me up. James decided, spur of the moment, that he wanted to come too so we picked him up as well. On the way out to Smithfield, there was a MASSIVE line up of cars and traffic was moving as slow as a motherbitch (N)!

When we FINALLY arrived at about 8ish, we found everyone was setting up for a huge game of Kings. Not such a good idea in hindsight, but it got everyone real silly, real quickly.

The outside crew! Ritchie wouldn't stop waving his arms around, which turned out to be a good thing coz this photo is epic as. His face + Henry just not giving a crap + Laura dressed as trailer trash. Yep, good night. Too bad I had to work the next morning back in Cairns at 9am.

Staying home tonight, when everyone else is out celebrating Halloween. It makes me a little sad, but I really don't have the energy.

PS: Thankyou to Kayla, who lent me her wide angle lens for the weekend (L).

I have in my possession

a Holga 120 CFN!

only for the duration these school holidays but I've been reading various online snippets about it and its versatility and I'm SO EXCITED to start using it! I need to clean it a little bit, and stick batteries in it, and I'm sort of scared that I won't have enough $$ for film, but I really need to visit my best friend again and I'd love to get some photos up there and I'll hopefully be going to the Atherton Show, so.. hmm. I need another job.

Went out last night with Laura and Ellie, had fun, and don't feel hungover or sickly at all! I. am. happy.

Kayla and myself are planning a secret charade, I can't wait to get into it. SNEAKY CHILDREN!

I don't blog much anymore, but I haven't really been up to much. I'll try and be more interesting these holidays.

Speaking of which, have a lovely and safe holiday, my dear readers, and don't get yourself into too much trouble!

xx.

why are all my days..

so lovely lately? today I rang up Leigh Boswell and we are OFFICIALLY! (unless it rains) starting filming my ftv short film this Saturday morning; excited!? well I am :)

ALSO my other short film (which is still in the planning stages), is getting promotion from across the OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY! my lovely dear friends Whisperwolves have been telling kids about my film at their shows, and it doesn't even have a title yet! I'm so damn lucky to have them on board, please listen to their music, it's gorgeous.

Saturday afternoon I'll be catching a bus up to Atherton again and seeing Rikki! How I miss her already! I love Atherton, it's so much better than Cairns. I kind of want to move there next year..

Today my form/english teacher made a bet with me. He'll get all of his hair spray painted pink for Colour For A Cure, if I get mine done all blue. My hair is already quite red, so it'll go.. purple? I don't care, if I get to see the English Head of Department, a published author and all round respected man get his hair coloured hot pink, well that's something worth taking a photo of :)

An Incomplete Summary of my 5 Day Weekend

Thursday was excellent! brilliant really. is it just me, or does everyone need one of those days with a friend they can spend hours with and not get bored, and am just happy doing nothing really whatsoever? I do.

today I went into town with Marisa and we went to a few op shops (and I bought this DARLING blue polka dress, it's so adorable) and to the fabric shop (where I bought 3 meters of this gorgeous lacey threaded hemming which I plan to make a bag out of) and stole a few cute buttons ^_______^

we went to this bookshop down an alleyway (one I've never seen nor heard of before) and I walked in and asked if they had any Goosebumps and the 20 something girl was all "YES!!" and it turns out she's as big a fan as I am and we had a good chat for about 5 minutes. I just LOVE meeting strangers and having something fantastic in common.

Anyway, I plan to donate a few of my "Choose Your Own Adventure" Goosebumps books to the shop, even though we both agreed they were terrible, someone somewhere out there might love them, as she told me she'd put aside any new Goosebumps books they get in for me :D

Then Marisa wanted to check out the Asian Supermarket and we saw packets of STRAIGHT OUT MSG! haha! I posted a photo of it yesterday, so the proof is on this page somewhere.. and dried octopus in bags- eck!

and we had rice rolls for lunch, then just wandered around Cairns Central till around 3.

I got home and then PJ's sister drove me and PJ down to this paddock opposite Cairns Christian College and we painted her up and took photos! she's such an amazing model, she's up for anything :) I straight out love her, thanks Jaime (L).

the grass made us quite itchy but it was definantly worth it.

Saturday night I stayed at Rik's house in Atherton and we spent our LAST $10 on a six pack of UDLs, so we're both officially broke as shite. But we had fun, and even though something bad happened, she was there for me and I truely appreciate having her in my life. I doubt anyone could have a better best friend than I do :)

ALSO TODAY my teacher told me that the piece I'm working on now (for film and television) will be the piece I'll submit to Creative Generations WHICH MEANS I'm officially an entrant! Happines and delight are running in full flight through my veins! I hope I get chosen, please wish me luck!

I'm thinking about starting filming my short film this weekend. The one due for school, not the Tristan one. I should start working more on that as well though..
